My Favorite Landscape & Nature Photographs from 2021
Despite all the challenges we faced in 2021, it proved to be a very good year for making photographs - at least for me. I photographed close to home in the Anacortes Community Forest Lands, the Skagit Valley, and Olympic Peninsula, and did photo trips to more distant locations including the Palouse, Sierras Nevada mountains, Yellowstone, Grand Tetons, Colorado, southern Utah, and Acadia National Park. I enjoyed some amazing locations, hung out with some inspiractional photographers, learned so much, and made a lot of photos. Narrowing it down to 34 favorites was a pleasurable challenge.
As I write this on January 1, the new year is already shaping up to be even better. My wife, Dona, and I are on a 2-1/2 month exploration of southern New Mexico, Arizona and California. So more fantastic locations and plenty of time to make photos and try new things, like my new LensBabies and more ICM photos. So stay tuned for more images as well as thoughts on photography and life.
All the best in 2022!
