Balloonists from across the U.S. gather at the end of September for the Great Prosser Balloon Rally in Prosser, WA.  It's a friendly bunch, with several letting me walk inside their balloons to photograph the colorful patterns.  The highlight, if the wind is favorable, is the pilots dropping their balloons down to kiss the surface of the Yakima River.  Makes for some great photos.
